The Project Brief:
Harley Dykstra has actively participated in surveying and planning the land earmarked for the innovative, medium-density, modern housing development at Middleton Beach.
Dubbed "The Duettes," these six modern terrace homes feature dual-purpose layouts, with separate accommodation areas, dual key access, and independent entrances. The Duettes introduce housing diversity to an established market dominated by standalone dwellings in Albany.
Our Involvement:
Our Albany team of Surveyors were involved in completing a number of tasks for these Duettes. The initial site survey involved re-establishing the existing boundaries set by the original survey markers and historical data.
Once we’d compared the current data against the old, we were able to re-evaluate and recalculate the real boundaries of the property. That data then went across to PTX Architects, who created the designs for the Duettes (you can see the original renders here).
Once the design was completed, we then commenced the Construction Set Out Survey for the property, providing levels and measurements for curbing, walls, bitumen and other elements set out in the Architect’s designs.
After that we completed the final Cadastral Survey works, and returned for third and final marking once construction was completed.
